The only way to do luxury yacht rentals is to do a crewed charter. There is no way to do a bareboat charter on a luxury yacht. They are usually crewed by professional staff even when owned privately. This is the only viable option when renting a luxury yacht. All luxury yacht charters are inspected charters. Luxury yachts carry from 10 to 34 passengers or more depending on the type of ship chartered. Most luxury yachts focus on pampering the guests so will have fewer passengers then a typical cruise ship of the same size.

The larger ships that can house 30 or so passengers take 70 to 80 crew and service staff. These ships offer such varied services as spas, masseuses, beauty care, chefs, musicians or DJ, scuba experts, and more. Renting a new ship will cost you considerably more then an older one, but also provide you with luxuries like flat screen televisions, satellite communications, off ship transportation, and more.
